Compensation Range:91,100 : 136,600 Compensation may vary based on applicants work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location. Job Purpose Our EnerSys/ABSL operation based in Longmont, CO is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and optimizing cutting:edge manufacturing processes for the production of state:of:the:art Li:Ion batteries. You will work closely with a dynamic team on the front lines of space component technology and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reviewing flight hardware drawings to ensure design for manufacturability and compliance with internal and external standards:Supporting new design programs and providing input to complex manufacturing issues:Generating assembly work instructions for complex tasks:Preparing and making revision changes to manufacturing documentation and processes to improve product quality and procedures:Designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing tooling for battery builds and associated systems:Providing CAD drafting and design support for manufacturing Qualifications:Bachelors of Science degree in related discipline and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience:Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools:Knowledge of engineering principles and practices:Familiarity working in multi:disciplinary teamsDesired Experience :Demonstrated experience authoring Work instructions/travelers:Use of electronic Manufacturing Execution System (MES) (Factory Logix):Spot Welding to AWS 17.2 or equivalent:Experience with IPC/WHMA:A:620: Cable and Wire Harness assemblies or equivalent:Experience with IPC J:STD:001: Soldering Requirements or equivalent:Familiarity in applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD and T) per ASME Y14.5:Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry:Participation in dispositions of Non:Conformance generation through a Material Review Board (MRB):Experience with new product introduction and transition to production:Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Manufacturing
