Job Summary The Concrete Mason performs all duties related to concrete application. Compensation 42.70 : 44.80/hour Responsibilities:Pourand finishconcrete:Performs flatwork construction:Constructs minor concrete structures:Installs reinforcing rebar or mesh wire to strengthen the concrete:Spreads, levels and smooths concrete using a trowel, float or screed:Molds expansion joints and edges:Monitors curing to ensure durable, smooth and uniform finish:Applies sealants or waterproofing to protect concrete:Other work related to heavy civil construction Education High school diploma/GED Requirements/Qualifications:Class Cdriver's license:Able to work both independently and as part of a team:Reliable attendance for varied work shifts, including nights:Able to work in a safety:conscious manner:Experience working in a heavy civil construction environment :Physical requirements: bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions:Occasionally lifting 100 lbs.Preferred: :Class A commercial driver's license:Experience in traffic control:Ability to establish finish grades from survey data:Ability to complete Class 1 finish to structural concrete:Bilingual Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post:offer pre:employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on:going drug and alcohol testing.
