The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Cincinnati includes accomplished physicians, research scientists, clinical laboratory scientists, and administrative, technical, and clerical staff who support our work. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking a candidate for a Research Assistant. The candidate will join a dynamic team advancing regenerative medicine through diverse approaches. Essential Functions: Conduct experiments and meticulously document data following research protocols.: Analyze data, assess its validity, and perform statistical and graphical data analysis when necessary.: Assist in managing and caring for the laboratorys animal colonies, including genotyping and monitoring the physiological performance of animal models.: Maintain various transgenic mouse lines within the lab.: Take responsibility for the preoperative and postoperative care of research animals.: Manage fibroblast cell cultures, cardiomyocyte isolations, inductions, and in vitro cell culture, as well as conduct left coronary artery ligation procedures to create myocardial infarction models.: Apply research principles to fewer complex tasks.: Undertake additional duties as required by the department to meet its evolving needs. Required Education: Bachelor's Degree.: Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
