Network Construction and Maintenance Technician

Description:
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: Assist with construction buildout, including pulling cable, installing conduit, installing microwave point-to-point radios, and installing backbone Client networks. Conduct building maintenance, including replacing outdated equipment, upgrading the network, and ensuring that building equipment is installed to our standards. Be on call to assist with network outages outside working hours, weekends and holidays. Pull, terminate, and test ethernet, make required cross connects. May perform residential in-home customer installation work as needed. Maintain regular communication with local and central teams to provide updates on projects as needed. Mandatory Skills/Qualifications: 1+ year pulling, terminating and testing twisted pair, coax and Client optics cabling in residential and commercial environments. Physical requirements: Must be able to lift 60 lbs and be ok with standing for long periods and comfortable working in different positions such as kneeling, crouching, and stooping. Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications: Fusion splicing, and related technologies Understanding of mmWave radio installation and maintenance.
