Are you a Photo Editor with expertise in all types of photo research that is interested in joining our client's creative team to support editorial photography and video? The Product & Design team conceptualizes, designs and creates the content experiences for some of our client's most visible products. Strong communication skills are required, as is resourcefulness, ingenuity in solving problems, dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and cope with rapid change. Not least, you will need to be dedicated to high standards of quality.You're a true photography lover with an encyclopedic knowledge of all types of photography including historic/archival, fine art, conceptual, still life, fashion and celebrity portraiture. You're also a conceptual wizard, able to synthesize creative input into visual solutions, and you dig much deeper than stock houses to find the right image. You're able to think outside the box, take ownership over a project, and suggest alternative approaches to the creative problem. You have an opinion that can help drive the creative execution. When it comes to licensing, you're masterful at price negotiations, contract execution, and final art delivery, taking your research across the finish line every time. You are proactive and self motivated, have excellent organizational skills and are meticulous with paperwork, making sure all legal clearances are gathered in advance of project deadlines. Key qualifications * A well-developed aesthetic that connects with photography and video* Broad knowledge of photographers across many genres including portraiture, fine art,conceptual and more* Have an eye for composition and familiarity with basic Photoshop techniques to editand resize photos across platforms.* Familiarity with all types of sources for existing photography including stock houseslarge and small, as well as galleries and artists' personal projects* Knowledge of image rights, contract negotiation and legal clearance processes forlicensed content* Flexibility, and instant willingness to jump in when research is needed, even when thetimeline is short* Clear and concise communication skills* Highly collaborative, great to work with on a team, and instinctively understand thevalue of building great relationships Additional requirements * 5+ years relevant photo editing or multimedia experience; bonus for tours inpublishing, magazines, and entertainment studios or the creative agencies that servethose industriesThe target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $59.59 to $66.21 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
