The attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of employment matters on behalf of employers, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience and will be comfortable advising clients and representing them before the EEOC and federal and state courts. Duties:Perform initial analysis and develop case strategy for employment matters.Prepare and respond to discovery requests in a timely manner.Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing advice and counseling on employment law issues.Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients.Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda as needed. Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.Admission to the state bar of Georgia and in good standing to practice law.At least 2+ years of experience handling employment matters on behalf of employers.Strong critical thinking skills and a solid academic background.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of Georgia. Skills:Ability to negotiate, research, and communicate effectively.Comfortable speaking with clients in an advice and counseling role.Experience representing employers before the EEOC and federal and state courts.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
