Department of Urology is in the growth mode and set for expansion - seeking a BE/BC Urologist to join our team. This department, currently comprised of 1 physician with current support from Pittsburgh, is expected to grow to 4+ onsite physicians. The hospital has 12 ORs and 1 dedicated Cysto Room. The ambulatory Surgery Center on the hospital campus has 6 ORs. The hospital has a da Vinci SI robotic surgical system. The Practice:UPMC Altoona Blair Medical Associates (BMA) is a premier multi-specialty group practice serving central Pennsylvania since 1972. BMA provides inpatient and outpatient medical services for the specialties of: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Pulmonology, Cardiology, Hematology/Oncology, Podiatry, Psychology, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Neurology, and Urology.The Health System:Hospital is a 400-bed regional healthcare provider serving a 6-county area in central PA and is an accredited level 2 trauma center, a regional cardiology/cardio-thoracic surgery center, and a regional cancer center. It provides vascular and endovascular surgery, neurosurgery, is a Joint Commission-accredited stroke center, provides behavioral health, vascular & wound care.
