Position Summary: Our client, a reputable healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Patient Transporter to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient contact and transportation within a medical facility, with the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and handle the physical demands of lifting and transporting patients. Key Responsibilities: Patient Transport: Safely transport patients to various locations within the medical facility, ensuring their comfort and safety. Assist patients in and out of wheelchairs, beds, and transportation vehicles as needed. Collaboration and Communication: Communicate effectively with medical staff to coordinate patient transport schedules. Maintain accurate records of patient transport activities using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients during transport. Regularly check and maintain transportation equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition. Customer Service: Provide compassionate and professional assistance to patients and their families. Address patient inquiries and concerns during transport, providing information and support as needed. Qualifications: At least one year of patient contact experience required. Experience working in a patient transport position within a medical facility is a plus. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
