As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.In this role, you will work with program managers, software engineers, and technical program managers across product areas to design, build, and launch technologies to address fingerprinting on the web.As the Technical Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to help shape and drive delivery and execution of anti-covert tracking solutions in partnership with product management, engineering, partnerships, legal, communications, and marketing team.The Privacy Sandbox initiative aims to create technologies that both protect people's privacy online and give companies and developers tools to build thriving digital businesses. Our team is dedicated to strengthening the Web and Android platform against tracking and fingerprinting, while also developing new privacy-preserving APIs to support personalization and measurement on the web. We are committed to collaborating with stakeholders in the industry to develop and implement viable, alternative solutions in a way that protects the privacy of users while also ensuring the continued vitality of the web. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in program management. Experience in managing cross-company programs related to Privacy. Preferred qualifications: 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. 3 years of experience in privacy. Experience building for the web and for the broader developer community.Experience in large systems software design and development. Responsibilities Implement communications standards across a portfolio of programs including executive and key partner communications. Establish a reliable and visible cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and Resource Stewardship (i.e., effective deployment of machine and people resources) whereby improvements such as efficiency and utilization gains are measurable and impactful across the organization. Lead a governance structure that drives effective executive decision-making. Ensure governance structure effectively exposes and mitigates dependencies. Seek out and identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity and which affect multiple teams.
