Location: Sunnyvale, CA 94089 Duration: 6 Months Minimum Salary: $75.00 - $80.00 per Hourly Top 3 must-have HARD skills: EMVCo L1: Certification experience, Executing tests on Comprion setup, Debugging issues on Digital test planGood to have skills: Knowledge about EMVCo architecture, project management, product registration to EMVCo websiteTypical Day in the Role: Execute test on device under test, understand failures and pin-point the issue, work with development team to root cause and fixSummary: The main function of a hardware engineer is to validate, debug and root cause EMVCo L1 certification tests and related issues.A typical hardware engineer in this area is responsible to execute tests, chase and rectify test equipment issues and generate a solid test report.Job Responsibilities: Gather test requirements for hardware and software functionsValidate test setup using reference device and debug failuresExecute EMVCo L1 certification tests and maintain clear reports and give execution updatesDebug test failures on device under test, work with FW and HW team to root cause issue and clearly document corrective actionsWork with external partners and 3rd party labs to complete formal certificationProvide equipment training and support to RF, System and FW teamsSkills: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.Team player and detail oriented.Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.Knowledge of EMVCo L1 certification requirementsKnowledge of EMVCo administrative processesUnderstanding of Analogue and digital test casesFamiliarity with NFC / EMVCo test equipment
