Assistant Purser

Description:
Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Purser in managing the front desk and guest services operations onboard the ship - Greet and assist guests with check-in, check-out, and any inquiries or requests they may have- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner- Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and transactions- Prepare and distribute daily reports to the management team- Coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience- Train and supervise junior guest services staff- Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures as required- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling and inventory management- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times Responsibilities: - High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field preferred- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a guest services role, preferably in the cruise industry- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer systems- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment- Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working at sea
