CVCYouth has been guided by a team with decades of experience and is the perfect place to learn from seasoned veterans in youth ministry, hone your skills, and be a meaningful part of inviting students and their families to new life in Christ. POSITION OVERVIEW: The CVCYouth Assistant Director plays a crucial role in connecting middle and high school students, as well as families, to CVCYouth’s mission of inviting people to new life in Christ. This role requires a dedicated individual who can develop and implement outreach strategies, assist in weekly programming, and support the Director of CVCYouth. This role is pivotal in fostering intentional relationships and leading efforts in discipleship, local and global missions, and campus partnerships. RESPONSIBILITIES: General Assist in implementing leadership development and discipleship strategies for students and leaders. Assist in the execution of weekly CVCYouth programming including, but not limited to, Collide (middle school), High School LifeGroups, and social events. Teach the Bible within CVCYouth context including Collide messages, LifeGroup leadership, devotional creation, and special event curriculum development. Assist with planning and execution for CVCYouth events and retreats. Invite Leverage relationships with parachurch organizations and local schools for student outreach. Primary contributor and strategist for CVCYouth social media. Work with CVC Invite department to bring new families to CVC/CVCYouth. Equip Assist the Director of CVCYouth with CVCYouth Create Ministry (training young worship musicians). Produce BASECAMP, the CVCYouth twice weekly video devotional tool. Involvement in Collide and/or High School LifeGroups as needed. Regular teacher in Collide. Assist in leadership development for LifeGroup leaders and volunteers. Send Assist in the implementation of outreach and event strategies. Serve the broader vision of CVC by being a great teammate outside of the youth department. Plan and execute local and global missions efforts for CVCYouth. Connect students to meaningful serve opportunities within the walls of CVC. Collaborating with the youth and campus pastors for strategy execution. REQUIREMENTS: Regular involvement in Collide and High School LifeGroups. Attendance of all events and staff meetings as required. A 45-hour work week, with Sunday through Thursday as typical workdays. Schedule varies from week-to-week due to events, LifeGroups, and other church activities. OTHER HELPFUL SKILLS: Worship Tech Skills: ProPresenter, Planning Center, Audio/visual, and lighting. Media Editing Skills: Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom & Photoshop), Canva, and WordPress Web Development. Worship Leader/Music skills.
