The incumbent if part of a global public health organization and is expected to support the Florida Department of Health in HardeeCounty in its mission to protect, promote, and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, countyand community efforts and its vision to be the Healthiest State in the Nation. Your Specific Responsibilities: This position is funded through the Tobacco Free Florida Grant and is prohibited from using tobacco in any form. Duties of the position include but are not limited to: Tobacco Policy Coordination : Ensures deliverables are met for assigned policy initiatives for the grant.: Serves as the point of contact for assigned policy initiatives.: Leads the Hardee tobacco program effort to develop and submit the tobacco prevention work plan in a timely mannerfollowing Bureau of Tobacco Free Florida's requirements.: Builds and maintains a stand:alone Tobacco Free partnership (TFP) that mobilizes community partners to establishpolicies identified in the tobacco prevention work plan.: Works with TFP to organize meetings; conduct business and activities of the TFP; assists in recruiting members andcoordinates TFP activities within the county.: Facilitates the meetings of the TFP.: Provides training and guidance to the TFP and to the Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) members on policyinitiatives.: Collaborates with regional tobacco grantee peers to plan and implement regional activities to support SWAT and Bureauof Tobacco Free Florida (BTFF) policies.: Collects, analyzes and presents data to ensure program outcomes.: Provides support to team member(s) working on other policy initiatives and the SWAT program.: Promotes the Florida Quit Your Way and refers community members to tobacco cessation services offered at the locallevel.: Promotes a tobacco:free lifestyle in the community. Tobacco Program Management : Ensures reports and back up documents are submitted as directed for Automated Tobacco Activity Collection System(ATACS) and FDOH:Hardee reports following formats established within required deadlines.: Participates in Bureau of Tobacco Free Florida trainings, meetings, conference calls, webinars, etc. as directed.: Coordinates media and marketing messages on tobacco issues with BTFF and as required by FDOH: Hardeecommunications guidelines.: Follows the Tobacco Purchasing Agreement and prepares purchasing quotes and justifications as requested andneeded in a timely manner within purchasing guidelines.: Performs all duties and responsibilities related to contract management including maintenance of requireddocumentation, submission of approved invoices in accordance with Section 215.422,F.S., review of deliverables,periodic monitoring, compliance with procurement schedule.: Transports and chaperones youth at meetings, events, trainings and community events as necessary to support theprogram and upon receipt of written parental consent.: Submits regular reports as required to ensure appropriate progress on work plans.: Represents the tobacco program on loc
