The ideal candidate should possess exceptional verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work directly with clients and develop effective service strategies. The candidate must be licensed to practice in New York State or eligible to waive into the New York State Bar.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment law matters.Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.Assist with deposition preparation and participate in witness interviews.Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on employment-related issues.Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and projects.Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and employment law.Experience in higher education law is highly desirable.Superior verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Must be licensed to practice in New York State or eligible to waive into the New York State Bar.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to waive into the New York State Bar.Skills:Legal research and analysis.Drafting legal documents.Client communication and counseling.Case management.Deposition preparation and witness interviewing.Mediation and arbitration representation.Attention to detail and organization.Time management and prioritization.
