Practice Area: Finance - Banking ,Finance - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, Job Overview: A law firm in Portland, OR, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience with complex finance transactions and be licensed and in good standing in Oregon.Duties:Act as a key member of deal teams, overseeing fundamental aspects of transactions from due diligence through closing.Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on sponsor-backed leveraged finance matters.Represent borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in various finance transactions.Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and closing certificates.Conduct legal research and analysis to support client matters.Requirements:4-7 years of experience with complex finance transactions.Substantial experience in sponsor-backed leveraged finance.Experience representing borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in various finance transactions.Must be licensed and in good standing in Oregon.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Admission to the Oregon State Bar.Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Proficiency in legal research and drafting transactional documents. This nationally renowned firms Portland office represents domestic and international clients in a variety of legal matters with a special focus on independent power producers and utility companies. These matters include conventional power projects, state and federal energy regulations, sale and finance of renewable energy, utility mergers and acquisitions, reliability compliance, renewable source integration, and utility partnership tax.
