JOB SUMMARY The Journeyman HVAC Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs from general to complex HVAC components. Responsible for troubleshooting, installations, repairs, completing work orders, and maintaining and diagnosing all HVAC mechanisms within the hangars and terminal buildings. This individual will perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs while ensuring standards within applicable laws, HVAC codes and regulations are met. In addition, the individual will perform other necessary repairs, maintenance, restoration, and placement of various components of the physical structure of buildings and shop equipment as needed. Location: Boston Logan International Airport Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 am (Sunday to Thursday)Salary: $36.00 - $39.00 per hourBenefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Birthday off Vision insurance ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, and evaporative coolers. Perform minor to complex service work on HVAC systems. Follow established procedures and practices and read instructions, blueprints, etc. Basic general maintenance skills. Available for an assigned emergency on-call schedule. Assists outside service personnel, inspectors, and vendors. Keeps workspace neat, clean, and free of clutter. Understand and comply with OSHA, Safety and PPE requirements. Carry a cell phone for coverage and site-wide communication. Perform all other work related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES/LEVEL OF SUPERVISION This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Receives specific direction as to goals and the achievement of those goals. Evaluated based on the successful performance of essential job duties and responsibilities and achievement of goals. Strong customer service skills Excellent communication skills Strong problem-solving skills WORKING CONDITIONS, TRAVEL, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed to address the needs of the customer.
