Are you passionate about wine and interested in learning more about the winemaking process? The Livingston Pilot Winery is seeking a seasonal assistant to support our mission of driving innovation in the wine industry by pushing the boundaries of winemaking techniques and technologies. As a member of our team, youll work closely the Pilot Winery staff and have the opportunity to gain hands:on experience in all aspects of winemaking. You will be involved with all tasks involved in the production of research wines. This includes but is not limited to: :Fermenting and pressing grapes:Operating machinery and equipment:Cleaning and sanitizing equipment:Sampling juice, fermenters, and wine tanks, and making ingredient additions at the direction of the WinemakerThis is a seasonal position, with employment running approximately June:November. The hours and schedule will vary depending on the workload, but tends to fall around 50:60 hours per week during the peak, including weekends when necessary. A willingness to work in an outdoor environment, at elevated heights and to comply with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulatory considerations is essential. What You Will Need: :Required to be 21 years of age or older.:Required to work overtime if necessary.:Required to work a rotating shift or any scheduled (day, swing or graveyard).:Required to work 8 : 12 hours per day.:Required to climb ladders; climb to extreme heights.:Required to lift up to 75 pounds.:Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.:Required to understand, read and write the English language.:Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.:Skilled in writing simple correspondence.:Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.:Required to comply with company GMP Policies.:Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5 of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travelrequirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.:Required to be 18 years or older.
