Principal Product Manager, Multi-Cloud Networking Service Job Summary Equinix, a leader in the Cloud Networking Industry, is looking for a Principal Product Manager to help drive the design and development of Equinix's next-generation cloud networking products. In this role, you will fill a critical role on a team focused on solving the complexities that Enterprises face when building and managing a hybrid multi-cloud networking environment. You have a deep understanding of the challenges customers experience connecting when building and managing hybrid, multi-cloud environments. You are adept at translating customer requirements into customer deliverables. You will work closely with customers, industry analysts, partners, and our sales teams to help develop a unique service offering that decreases complexity and provides excellent value for our customers. This new product along with your expertise in cloud networking, will drive the success of our product portfolio. Responsibilities Define and articulate the product strategy in support of the new Equinix Multi-Cloud Networking Service design and implementation effortsLead cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launchesBring Industry knowledge and expertise of how customers currently use Cloud Networking with their hyper-scalers, and the available technologies the services that span networking across cloudsConduct market research and engage with customers to identify needs, trends, and opportunitiesPartner with Sales and Solutions Architects to meet with interested customers to help communicate the overall value and to validate product market fitPartner with development teams to translate business requirements into actionable roadmapDrive the User Experience (UX) for this product, includes both a portal and an API experienceValidate ideas directly with customers before, during, and after developmentWork closely with other product leaders to coordinate developing a cohesive UX for customers across the portfolioManage the backlog by prioritizing critical features based on analysis of the business opportunity vs level of effortDefine metrics that will be used to inform product success and help drive user experience improvementsPerform pricing evaluation and coordinate price changesDesign product training curriculum; participate in cross-functional training and meetingsRun the business: analyze and optimize value chain activities; establish and monitor critical metrics; implement course corrections as neededProvide customer and partner briefings and serve as an evangelist for the productUnderstand the core aspects of IAM, including user lifecycle management, principles of least privilege, and secure authentication and authorization mechanismsUnderstand Observability features and key integrations enterprises require to manage their day-to-day operations and support Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in a software defined network infrastructure product management role or a combination of 5 years of product management and experience in software network engineering/architectureBachelor's degree in CS, EE, or relevant field of studyExperienced building complex software for Cloud Networks and NaaS; deep, end-to-end experience building cloud technologies: CSPs (Cloud Service Providers), NaaS, virtualization, networking, etc.Experience with Hyperscale Networking constructs such as VPCs, VNets, Transit Gateways, etc.Knowledge of data center digital infrastructure capabilities and the value of interconnection within this ecosystemExperience with leading IAM solutions (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure Active Directory, Google Cloud Identity, Okta, Ping Identity) and the ability to leverage these platforms to enforce security policies and access controlsUnderstand Enterprises use Observability tools like Splunk and Data Dog and how they integrate them into their day-to-day operations10-15% travel for external or internal meetings and industry conferencesEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
