Practice Area: Litigation - Labor & Employment,Employment Law - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Junior Employment and Labor Associate Attorney to assist in day-to-day employment and human-resources counseling for clients, handle employment-litigation matters, and support the team in various legal aspects.Duties:Review, analyze, and draft employment agreements, employee handbooks, severance agreements, and other employment documents.Manage employment litigation matters, including non-compete disputes, single-plaintiff employment cases, and administrative issues.Take and defend depositions in employment-litigation matters and manage written-discovery phases.Guide clients on sensitive personnel issues and assist in policy review and implementation.Support employment aspects of due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, including reviewing employment provisions for asset and stock purchase agreements.Formulate legal strategy on litigation matters and work on other issues as needed.Requirements:Embrace teamwork and value collaboration.Possess strong writing and analytical skills.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with clients and colleagues.Exhibit superior time management skills.Experience:1-4 years of employment litigation and counseling experience is required.Trial experience at any level is a plus.Experience and/or an interest in commercial and/or franchise litigation is a plus.Education and Certifications:Should be licensed to practice law in Missouri and be in good standing.Skills:Strong writing and analytical skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication.Superior time management skills.
