JOB DESCRIPTION PRODUCTION PLANNING MANAGEROPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full-time Production Planning Manager to work in our Moorestown, NJ office. The Planning Manager is responsible for leading a team of seven production planning professionals in support of strategic projects and programs for this global technology leader in warehouse automation, high-speed mailroom automation, document imaging, and material handling. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with project and program teams as well as external partners and suppliers.Job Requirements: * Provide leadership to a diverse team of Operations/Production Planners across multiple work centers, technologies, and processes in a dynamic environment. Regularly review and improve Planning process and tools and provide ongoing targeted training for Planners on both process and work center understanding. * Continually review, evaluate, and improve planning processes targeting enhanced impact and improvement on both customer service and operating efficiency metrics. * Establishes production schedules and ensures that actual production meets scheduled requirements. * Maintain ongoing communication with Master Scheduling and awareness of changing customer/scheduled demands. * Assure daily Dispatch List distribution by planners and end-of-day updates. * Monitor and assure first-level identification and escalation of critical part/component supply and equipment/work center issues impacting on-time schedule achievement. Collaborate with senior leadership in Production, Procurement, and Master Scheduler to assure best possible outcomes for customer service and operating efficiency. * Participate at a high level and collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Process Engineering leadership on ERP system work center and workflow definitions with consideration of standard operating variables, including demonstrated capacity, routing specifications, machine capabilities, and alternative manufacturing routings. * Collaborate with Planning team to create and maintain a Continuous Improvement agenda and monitor performance against plan. Essential Skills & Experience Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Business/Operations or other appropriate area of study preferred. * Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of Operations/Production Planning/Analytical experience in an MRP II / ERP environment. * APICS certification a plus. Subject matter expertise in Operations Planning. * Master Scheduling / Capacity Planning experience is a plus. * Strong statistical and analytical ability; must be able to analyze data and make appropriate decisions and recommendations. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. * Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements and continuous improvement. * Strong personal interaction skills. Physical/Work Environments * Employee will primarily be working in an office environment with occasional travel to warehouse and/or customer sites for observation / research. * Sitting and standing for an extended period of time. * Some walking and/or driving between local facilities; occasional air travel may be required.
