The ideal candidate should possess strong academic and professional credentials, with a preference for consumer finance experience and familiarity with relevant laws such as FDCPA, FCPA, and RESPA.Duties:Represent clients in consumer financial services litigation matters.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding consumer finance laws and regulations.Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to achieve client objectives.Maintain client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.Requirements:Admission to the Illinois Bar and active status.2-5 years of litigation experience.Familiarity with consumer finance laws and regulations.Strong academic and professional credentials.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Illinois Bar.Admission to other Bars is a plus.Skills:Legal research and writing.Litigation strategy and advocacy.Client relationship management.Attention to detail and organization.Time management and prioritization. This is a branch office of an exciting national law firm with nationwide litigation practice in general trial and appellate practice before state and federal courts, insurance coverage litigation and counseling, directors and officers liability, professional liability, environmental/mass tort coverage, white collar criminal defense, real estate and golf course development, biotech, and general business counseling. The Chicago office is focused on insurance coverage litigation and counseling for clients in Chicago and the Midwest. The lawyers of this small office seem to truly enjoy working together. The hours are manageable, and the compensation is above average. Associates must have a strong interest in insurance matters. The firm hires from both regional and national law schools.
