Senior Information System Security Officer

Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead our information security Compliance Branch to support a homeland security customer in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in managing complex systems within our Agency, demonstrating a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and the ability to lead and innovate in a fast-paced environment. Act as the single point of contact for the Cybersecurity Division, supporting all systems and leading the information security Compliance Branch. Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity policies and regulations, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing security measures. Coordinate and lead cybersecurity initiatives, projects, and programs within the organization. Provide strategic direction and oversight for the information security posture of the organization. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies, procedures, and plans. Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with security standards and policies. Serve as the primary liaison between the Contractor and the Government for all cybersecurity-related matters. Provide guidance and leadership to junior security staff and stakeholders within the organization. Requirements: A minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, specifically in roles managing complex systems in a similar Agency or organization. Proven experience as an ISSO or in a similar senior role in information security management. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ability to act as a single point of contact for all cybersecurity matters, demonstrating strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Must be able to provide the names of the Senior ISSO(s) and any alternates as part of the Contractor's proposal to the Government. Powered by JazzHR
