The Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual for this position. This position will provide the right individual an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly, team oriented work environment. This entry level employee will assist in performing maintenance and support functions for sport events.Pay-type: Part-time, hourlyDepartment: Parks and RecreationEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Assisting with equipment, materials, and supplies for sporting events. This duty is performed daily. Prioritize and plan work activities to meet deadlines. This duty is performed daily. Knowledge of softball rules and regulations with the ability to relay this information to the public and participants. This duty is performed daily. Communicate effectively and tactfully with those contacted in the course of business including participants, staff, parents, and the public. This duty is performed daily. Perform any other related duties and required or assigned. Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability.Education and Experience:Minimum requirement; general educational background without high school completion, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
