Come join our award-winning team! Syndeo Outsourcing is currently in search of a Leave Administration Specialist for our headquarters office located in Wichita, KS. This position will be responsible for all aspects of leave programs for worksite employees including Leave of Absence, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Short-Term Disability (STD), and Long-Term Disability (LTD), and plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, providing support to employees navigating leave processes.At Syndeo, the benefits team is committed to supporting companies and their employees, primarily through the daunting task of navigating benefit choices. This team provides customized benefits administration of medical, dental, vision, group term life, long-term disability, short-term disability, flexible spending accounts (FSAs), health saving accounts (HSAs), and 401k options through multiple providers. Annual profit-sharing bonuses, community service opportunities, access to local sporting events and more Job responsibilities include: Oversee and administer all leave programs and leave-related benefits including Leave of Absence, FMLA, STD, and LTD. Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance with leave policies. Develop, implement, and communicate leave policies and procedures to clients and their worksite employees. Serve as the main point of contact for employees seeking information on leave options. Provide guidance and assistance to employees in understanding and navigating the leave process. Collaborate with HR, Benefits and Payroll departments to coordinate all compliance, benefit and pay issues related to leaves of absence. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all leave cases, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Prepare and distribute necessary documentation, including leave approval and denial letters. Conduct training sessions for worksite employees, clients and internal departments on leave policies, procedures, and requirements. Communicate with medical providers as needed. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, keeping them informed of changes to leave policies or procedures. Liaise with insurance providers to manage STD and LTD claims, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Manage benefit arrears and invoicing processes per client processes. Perform other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors Degree in related field preferred. At least one year of experience managing employee leave programs and benefits. Knowledge in leave administration, FMLA, STD, and LTD processes. Proficient in MS Office programs.
