2nd Electrical Engineer

Description:
Responsibilities- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all electrical systems on board the cruise ship , including generators, motors, switchboards, and control panels.- Troubleshoot and repair any electrical issues that may arise during the voyage.- Maintain accurate records of all electrical maintenance and repairs.- Collaborate with the Chief Electrical Engineer and other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems.- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of the vessel and crew.- Assist in the training and development of junior electrical engineers.- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in electrical engineering.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a 2nd Electrical Engineer on board a vessel.- Knowledge of marine electrical systems and equipment.- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with other crew members.- Willingness to work long hours and be on call for emergencies.- Valid seafarer's medical certificate and STCW certifications.
