Summary Kiddie Academy has an exciting opportunity for an energetic , optimistic and inspiring educator to join us as a Curriculum Coordinator . You?ll bring a creative touch and caring attitude to our passionate team of childcare professionals who make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our community every day. If you?re motivated by smiles and hugs from children and praise from parents, this could be the job for you Duties Responsible for facilitating smooth daily operations of the early childhood classrooms . Assure that quality teaching and learning and family engagement occur across developmental areas for children 0-5 years of age. Support teaching staff in planning, implementing, and advocating for children and families within a culturally and linguistically diverse environment that is rich in materials and possibilities. Supervise early childhood staff, substitutes, and volunteers. Provide guidance, regular check-in meetings, 90-day reviews, and annual performance evaluations in order to improve services, increase skills, and assure that environments are rich in natural materials and learning opportunities. In collaboration with the Director participate in coaching activities for teachers and contribute to ongoing professional development and learning activities. Assure that there are enough instructional staff for the number of children in the classes. Oversee the organization, safety, and hygiene of the early childhood classrooms to assure a safe, appropriate, and stimulating environment for all children. Promote and provide guidance for families and teachers regarding process-oriented learning that is responsive to children?s home languages and cultures. Ensure ongoing compliance with school regulations and health and safety procedures. In collaboration with the Director of Early Childhood and Inclusion Coordinator, oversee developmental screening and assessment for children at one site (ASQ, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and others as applicable.)
