We’re looking to hire an energetic and outgoing host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills. You’ll need excellent communication skills to answer phone inquiries and make reservations. Your main duties include welcoming guests and guiding them to a table that has been cleared and cleaned. You’ll ensure that there are enough seats for the entire party and check that each guest has tableware. Your attire should be professional and neat, with comfortable shoes so you can stand on your feet frequently throughout your shift. If you’re a real people person, and a team player who can multitask and pitch in to help with other duties as needed, we want to meet you! Apply today for immediate consideration. Responsibilities: • Make reservations, plan out the seating chart, and troubleshoot customer phone inquiries• Know the menu items and how dishes are prepared and be able to answer any questions about daily specials• Clean up and clear plates after guests leave, and get the table ready for the next customers• Direct customers to their seats, ensuring tables are set properly with enough tableware for each diner, water glasses are filled, and menus are sanitized• Greet guests warmly as they enter to create a positive first impression of the restaurant Qualifications: • Must be able to handle a fast-paced atmosphere with periods of standing on feet for an extended length of time• Responsible for communicating politely with customers, skilled at organizing, and have the ability to troubleshoot customer requests or issues quickly, and efficiently• Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required• For this position, a high school diploma or the equivalent GED is needed, as well as a good understanding of how to speak and read English About Company: Our hotel is off the Sam Houston Tollway in the Westchase business district.
