We are seeking an experienced title agent to join our growing team. We’re a tight-knit group of professionals who consistently provide top-quality closing services to our clients. Responsibilities: • Conduct title search to prepare a title abstract and title opinion• Verify ownership, legal descriptions, and restrictions by analyzing liens, maps, public records, leases, plat books, agreements, surveys, and contracts• Record all legal documents at the county and federal level and present deed to new owners • Conduct property search to check for real estate title defects or issues, such as claims, liens, mortgages, deeds, wills, or fraud• Review all closing documents to be sure title commitments have been met, issue title policy, and prepare closing statements to transfer the title to the new owner• MUST have a book of business and be able to bring business in• Attend Marketing events to bring in business• Cover any department when shorthanded• Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: • Prefer process-driven, analytical and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills• State license requirements must be met for this position --title producers license is a bonus• 3-5 years of title closing experience, abstractor experience, title examiner or providing closing services is required• College degree preferred- high school diploma required• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Compensation: $60,000 at plan commission About Company: Countrywide Capital Group, LLC ("CCG") is an investment/private equity company that specializes in building affordable housing.
