Summary The position functions as Social Worker and has program responsibility as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Drug Dependency Unit (DDU) located in Winnebago, NE. The DDU delivers residential treatment services in an integrated, multi-disciplinary manner to patients who are affected by substance abuse, and in most cases, cooccurring psychological and various other mental conditions. Duties As Chief Executive Officer of the Drug Dependency Unit, you will: Implement an effective comprehensive mental health/substance abuse services program to measure, assess, and improve the quality of care delivered to patients. Provide fiscal management to develop budgets, project costs and monitor expenses. Oversee personnel management activities including position management, recruitment, employee relations, and conduct staff meetings and conferences, develop job performance standards and assist in the proper evaluation and ratings of employees. Make provisions to ensure the DDU is operated within the standards of accreditation bodies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Selectee may be subject to a probationary period. A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required upon selection/placement. U.S. Citizenship is required. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S) : General Schedule Qualification Standards: Individual Occupational Requirements Degree: Social Work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Master's degree with practicum: Applicants who complete all of the requirements for a master's degree in social work that included a practicum are eligible for GS-9.In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Directly responsible for the oversight of behavioral health services; develops policies and procedures; establishes behavioral health standards of care; provides administrative supervision for behavioral health staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; provides behavioral health and substance abuse care and consultation services to patients. Selective Placement Factor: Must possess a current, unrestricted U.S. State license as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
