Position Description:Job Purpose and Scope: Supervises a team of Learning and Development professionals that collaborate with clients and create effective learning programs.Essential Job Functions: * Designs, develops, and modifies curriculum, documentation, and other training materials to support Instructor led and/or online learning, based on learning and performance objectives. * Leads and oversees the development of high-quality, sustainable learning and development programs and resources by applying proven learning theory, technology, and methods. * Manages Instructional Designers on the team to achieve high performance and promote Bank OZK Culture. * Creates assessment questions and strategies for learning initiatives. * Conducts targeted needs assessments to ensure learning solutions target the needs of stakeholders and end users. * Communicates difficult concepts and processes using clear and simple language and visuals, while executing and resolving complex aspects of a project. * Evaluates effectiveness of learning programs post-launch and makes recommendations for improvement to courses and content. * Develops knowledge of new learning approaches, technology, and tools for themselves and their team members. * Develops and implements new templates, learning models, and overall best practices. * Manages timelines and development schedules for course designs and ensures courses are designed on time at the highest level of quality. * Collaborates with technical writers and the Learning and Development management team to prepare and deliver a variety of learning solutions. * Manages the relationship with subject matter experts for learning programs. * Determines effective learning approaches for client/organizational needs through research and analysis. * Identifies improvement opportunities and contributes to strategic planning for the Instructional Design team including setting and achieving organizational goals and objectives. * Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions. * Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work. * Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Knowledge of learning theory, technology, and methods. * Ability to manage and coach a high performing team independently. * Ability to demonstrate effective decision-making and conflict management skills. * Ability to design and deliver effective training solutions to reach various levels of learning. * Ability to develop courses from standard operating procedures or subject research. * Ability to demonstrate effective project management and organizational skills. * Ability to demonstrate professionalism and build effective strategic working partnerships with leaders, clients, peers, direct reports, and employees at all levels. * Ability to develop and execute strategic goals. * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. * Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. * Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment. * Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to maintain confidentiality. * Ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems in a critical and creative thinking manner. * Ability to adapt and learn new software quickly. * Skill in strategic planning. * Skill in using design and project management software and LMS and HRIS technology. * Skill and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, and Articulate 360. * Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Job Expectations:Operate customary equipment and technology used in a business environment, with or without accommodation.Note: This description is not an exhaustive list of all job functions, duties, skills, and job standards required. Position Requirements:Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in instructional design, adult learning, organizational behavior, or other job-related field, or commensurate work experience, required. * Master's degree in educational psychology, instructional design, adult learning, organizational behavior, business, or other job-related field, preferred. * 4+ years of progressive work experience in curriculum and training development, learning and development, or other directly related experience, required. * 4+ years of experience in developing learning solutions using e-learning software, required. * 1+ year of experience in leading, managing, or supervisory role, preferred. * 4+ years of experience in audio and video editing, required. * 4+ years of work experience in a financial institution, preferred.
