We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsLead Vascular Ultrasound Technologist Our -imaging -teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Lead Vascular Ultrasound Technologist on a full-time basis. As a Lead Vascular Ultrasound Technologist or Lead Vascular Sonographer, you will perform advanced diagnostic vascular non-invasive technological exams, conduct and document ultrasound and/or vascular assessments on patients as ordered, performing these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner and prioritizing patient care. - -If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next opportunity.Your tasks and responsibilities as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist include but are not limited to: - Perform general and vascular ultrasound exams (abdomen, pelvis, small parts, peripheral vascular, carotid, TCD) - Perform appropriate evaluations of vascular morphology and physiology according to national standards - Assist the radiologist in ultrasound-guided procedures (i.e., paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, aspiration) - Demonstrate concern and empathy while performing tests and procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner - Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures - Maintain proactive, effective communication with patient and physicians regarding any and all findings, patient histories and test results as appropriate - Collaborate and confer with all colleagues and members of the healthcare teamQualifications - - Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Sonographers - Current -ARDMS registry -for Ultrasound: RDMS (Abdomen) and RVT, preferred - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Minimum of one (1) year post-graduate hospital experience in an acute-care setting as an Ultrasound Tech (2+ years preferred) - Must meet hospital call-back requirements of 30 minutes - Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment - Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbsHCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is a 350-bed facility offering a range of services.
