49269 - Regular - Representation: SOCIETY Job code: 00753205 Pay information: Schedule 1 / MP2 Hours of work (per week): 35 hr 5day 7hr Shift work: No Number of positions: 1 Town/City: Toronto, Ontario Department: STRT, ENGRYTRS & HR / PLANNING & KEY ACCOUNTS / DX INV PLN S General Accountabilities: Conduct planning studies backssments to develop solutions to manage capacity and reliability for safe and secure operation of the distribution system. Participate and develop products related to Distribution Asset Management. Assist Distribution Asset Management in setting overall policy and direction for managing Hydro One’s distribution assets. Assist in the conduct of operations research, technical / economic /environmental / business / regulatory impact backssments and other specialized studies to determine distribution customer/system needs. Prepare work specifications and contracts, and provide necessary technical support to service providers. Assist in the development of business plans, budgets and regulatory submissions. Maintain an awareness of advancing technology developments related to distribution assets. Work with others as required, assist in resolution of work problems and train new staff in job responsibilities. Participate in professional development training in other departments or divisions across the company. Work with distribution customers in defining their requirements for new and upgraded connections. Help preparing evidence related to asset plans, programs &processes required for regulatory rate hearings, leave to construct applications, Environmental backssment proceedings or other OEB hearings. Conduct customer impact backssments for new connections; represent Hydro One in the development of reliability standards. Conduct power system analysis studies using sophisticated computer software packages. Perform other duties as required.
