Job Description:The Manager, Global EHS Management Systems, will provide guidance and direction regarding the implementation of the global EHS Management System. In this role you will help the manufacturing sites and applicable Axalta offices implement RC14001 Management System or equivalent.Key Responsibilities:Operations Execution * Provide guidance and support to Axalta sites on their implementation of the RC14001 Management System standards or equivalent. * Prepare and ensure Axalta can achieve the global RC 14001 or equivalent. * Maintain Axalta's global certificate for RC 14001 or equivalent. * Identify and recommend external audit body for RC 14001 audit scheme and for the certification. * Thorough understanding and knowledge of the RC14001 standard or equivalent such as ISO 14001 to be able to provide support to the Axalta sites. * Develop and document Axalta Global EHS standards for RC14001. * Develop, manage, and schedule all the RC 14001 audits after coordination with Axalta sites and applicable locations. * Input into the EHS database, all findings from RC14001 audits. * Input into the EHS database all findings from EHS second party audits. * Manage and coordinate dates and entries for all the corrective and preventive actions from all EHS related audits. * Provide weekly and/or monthly reports or updates for KPIs applicable to this job responsibility. * Schedule quarterly EHS Management Reviews and manages the presentations and action items related to the review. * Follow up on actions items stemming from RC 14001 and/or EHS 2nd party audits. * Perform on site RC 14001 and EHS 2nd party audits. * Process purchase orders and other administrative duties related maintenance of the global certification. * Review and provides benchmark studies and updates to the EHS team regarding specific American Chemical Council benchmark studies. * ACC (American Chemical Council) representative and supporting ACC requests.Qualifications:Required: * A Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related science or engineering field is required; an advanced degree is preferred. * Proven experience in EHS management systems and processes in a Chemical Manufacturing environment * 8+ years of experience in EHS leadership and / or Manufacturing Leadership in a Chemical Manufacturing environment. * Proven track record of success in leading EHS to year-over-year improvement * Ability to work and influence collaboratively and effectively within a global and diverse population and achieve results. * Ability to be a systematic thinker who possesses strong communication skills.Desired LEADERSHIP CAPABILITIESDriving results: * Work to achieve goals while overcoming obstacles and/or planning for contingencies. * Show strong desire (e.g., urgency) about reaching targets. * Show proactive approach to work, ability to summarize and offer recommendations. * Offer a pragmatic and practical approach to solutions and implementation, removing unnecessary complexity. * Check work of self and others against required standards. * Review performance and progress on a regular basis to ensure the team is achieving results. * Test to see if goals are sufficiently challenging and implements corrective action based on deviations. * Excellent communication skills to understand and document requirements and to effectively convey recommendations to internal customers. * A change agent who has successful track record of building global internal relationships. * A bias for action, and results orientation.Our Company:Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
