Natural Retreats is hiring an experienced, full-time Maintenance Technician to join our Sevierville, Tennessee team! Come join the best luxury vacation rental management company! Compensation: $17.00 /hr. Maternity AND Paternity Leave Medical (Traditional PPO-style plans and High Deductible Plan w/ HSA) Dental Vision Flexible Spending Accounts (medical and dependent care) 401K retirement plan options with 3.5% company match Short and Long Term Disability Insurance (100% company paid) Basic Life Insurance Policy of $50,000 (100% company paid) $200 annual wellness benefit Supplemental Life Insurance (Employee, Spouse, Child) Cell phone ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs diversified duties to troubleshoot and maintain core home systems (i.e. HVAC, pool service, lock installation, septic systems, plumbing, electric, radiant heating systems, mechanics, etc.) in addition to the following: Basic repairs to interior and exterior home aesthetics (i.e. painting, dry wall repair, basic construction, etc.)Moving equipment, appliances, furniture, etc. Hot tub servicing Removing items from home for disposal. Maintains lawn, walkways, driveways, etc. Snow and leaf removal Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments Picks up trash Performs regular preventative maintenance in homes Performs a variety of plumbing, maintenance and carpentry functions Assists housekeeping when needed Conducts general maintenance pre-checks prior to guest/owner arrivals Conducts general maintenance departure checks upon guest/owner departures Monitors and enforces policies regarding property usage Maintains detailed records of services performed in all units, according to daily timesheet. Performs maintenance as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, General Manager, and other senior management including but not limited to audio/video, electrical, basic plumbing, mechanics, and/or appliance repair Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs to homes and performs scheduled maintenance repairs Emergency on-call phone – all of team will be tasked with this responsibility EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: REQUIRED Previous experience in a similar role Ability to use hand and basic power tools Strong knowledge of home systems Basic knowledge of audio/visual, electrical, plumbing, mechanics, and appliance repair Proficiency in technology such as cell phones and basic computer skills Valid driver’s license, good MVR and 3+ years of driving experience Strong attention to detail Strong customer focus Basic organizational skills to effectively record and catalogue documents on work performed Basic troubleshooting knowledge of internet routers Proactive and flexible in approach to job duties and problem-solving DESIRED HVAC certification POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK : Due to the nature of the job, the Maintenance Technician should be flexible with his/her hours. Weekends and holidays are required and will generally be busy and considered working days with guest arrivals and departures although these can be covered on request and approval of the Maintenance Manager. We encourage all our Team Members to take (2) days off per week where possible. Guests can arrive at unpredictable times, and the Maintenance Technician should always be available in case of emergency, which includes evenings and on-call hours. Generally, this means working some inconsistent hours. Exact daily schedules may vary from season to season and differ from in-season to off-season. Vacation is generally taken outside of peak season.
