Job Description:Axalta's Industrial Wood Coatings team is currently seeking a Distribution Sales Specialist to develop new business opportunities and enhance existing account relationships for their Wood Coatings Distribution business. This role will provide ongoing technical support to our customers through various stages of the lifecycle as well as position Axalta and our products as the preferred supplier to their customers. The individual will be responsible for identifying new opportunities or areas to continue to grow our business. As a Distribution Sales Specialist you will: Gain an understanding of customer base requirements and appropriately applies values with added offerings to meet regional goals while keeping Axalta's best interests in mind.* Manage distribution within the defined market or region and administers the distributor program elements, acting as the primary point of contact for distributors.* Consistently conduct effective monthly distributor and market meetings to achieve desired results.* Pioneer new, innovative opportunities and take on challenges that will contribute the market's success.* Maintain a balance of building strong, collaborative relationships with distributors and customers while keeping Axalta's interests and goals as a top priority.* Understand current and future business environment and industry trends to prioritize, target, and effectively retain current customers and sell to new customers.* Understand and accurately communicate the key attributes and advantages of our product, color, and services offer through designed proposals.* Ensure and facilitate proper usage of Axalta's CRM software.* Maintain the Axalta Brand Image and adherence to policy standards.* Manage distribution forecasts, revenue growth, and profitability while working with a high sense of urgency* Manage and ensure customer and distribution issues are see through to completion by networking with supply chain, product group, and customer service.Qualifications:Required: * Bachelor's Degree and/or 7+ years in a relevant technical or business discipline. * Progressive technical experience within the wood coatings industry or related coatings field. * 5 + years of selling and/or retention experience with a track record of hitting or exceeding goals. * Experience managing relationships with top-tier customers / distributors preferred. * Demonstrated negotiation skills and project management experience. * Must be willing to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time.Preferred: * Strong business acumen / financial knowledge. * Prior experience in the wood market segment. * Knowledge of wood application techniques and finishing equipment is a plus. * Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM, along with MS Office proficiency. * 2nd Language: Spanish (preferred, but not required). * Must be highly self-motivated and an independent performer. * Possess strong communication skills - both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. * Possess presentation skills and be comfortable in conducting small training classes or making presentations at customer functions. * Strong customer service aptitude and teamwork skills. * Possess excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks.Our Company:Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
