As a 1099 Contractor CPRS at Kyros, you're afforded the flexibility to set your own schedule, manage a caseload either part-time or full-time, through virtual means. Qualifications & Requirements: Valid and active Peer Recovery Specialist certification from the Minnesota Certification Board Reside in Minnesota, outside of the Twin Cities Metro Area Personal lived experience in recovery Openness and appreciation for diverse backgrounds Adherence to boundaries and ethics in virtual settings Strong technical skills to deliver services via digital platforms Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective virtual interaction Access to a reliable computer and mobile device Proficiency with Google Hangouts is preferred Responsibilities and Duties: Virtual Peer Support: Build and nurture connections with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders, using various digital communication tools. Provide empathy, understanding, and support in a non-judgmental manner, drawing from personal experiences, all within a virtual setting. Serve as a beacon of hope Digital Individual Support Sessions: Offer personalized, client-led peer support, including the promotion of clients' wellness plan goals and the maintenance of their newly developed skills, through virtual means. Assist clients in developing coping strategies and resilience within their recovery journey, leveraging digital communication platforms. Virtual Advocacy: Guide clients in accessing suitable online services and resources. Work in tandem with community organizations to bolster virtual support systems. Crisis Intervention: Identify when and how to engage professional services or emergency responders through digital channels. Recognize client triggers and aid in the development of healthy coping mechanisms remotely. Documentation and Supervision: Keep accurate and confidential digital records of client interactions and progress.
