Benhaven Academy is looking for well-qualified C.N.A./Paraprofessional to work in the public schools!$22.75/hour, 35 hours, Monday-Friday Benhaven Academy is looking to hire a full-time 35 hour a week, 12-month non-exempt position. The C.N.A/Paraprofessional works under the direction of the Special Education Teacher, School Nurse and Physical Therapist in a public-school setting. The C.N.A./Paraprofessional is directly responsible for providing support to students with an autism spectrum disorder and/or other disabilities. The following duties are assigned to this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Responsibilities: Perform direct student care, such as personal care, activities of daily living which may include toileting, incontinence care and feeding. Clinical skills are necessary to perform objectives in the individual student care plan. Collaborate with Special Education Teacher, School Nurse & Therapists to follow orders. Such as exercises, lifting, stretching, etc. as trained. Follow nurse’s orders, changes, updates as provided by outside medical providers. Required to complete detailed documentation of medical information daily. License/Certifications: C.N.A.
