IN SUMMARY Mazzetti is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in a project leadership and business building capacity. This role combines technical expertise in mechanical engineering, people and project leadership, and a strategic mindset focused on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to deliver high-quality engineering services and grow business in southern California. This role is a springboard to potential leadership and growth opportunities, both locally and nationally. This is an exciting opportunity to take on new challenges and drive impact in alignment with our strategic objectives and Mazzetti’s Mission of bending the climate curve. YOUR TASKS WILL INVOLVE • Lead engineering business development efforts in southern California by interfacing with clients, bringing in new project work, and contributing to the growth of Mazzetti’s healthcare and life sciences sectors. • Plan, organize, and lead electrical engineering projects in accordance with project requirements, timelines, and budgets. • Oversee the technical work of project teams, collaborate on electrical designs, and coordinate work within the Mazzetti team to successfully deliver projects from conception to execution. EXPERTISE AND ABILITIES YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of experience in building electrical systems design (or equivalent combination of education and experience). • Professional Engineer (PE) license required. • Healthcare and hospital design experience strongly preferred. • Life sciences experience desired. • Proven track record in business development and client relations, or a hire desire to develop these skills and experience. • Strong project management experience, with the ability to drive projects from conception to completion. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to oversee the technical work of other team members.
