Are you passionate about ensuring every child receives a quality education Are you organized, compassionate, and dedicated If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are seeking a motivated Attendance Officer to join a school in Wigan and make a real difference in the lives of students across Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. As an Attendance Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting regular attendance and punctuality, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and record attendance and punctuality for students across Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. Identify patterns of absence and work closely with parents, guardians, and external agencies to address any underlying issues. Implement strategies to improve attendance, including rewards and incentives for punctuality. Provide support and guidance to students and families experiencing difficulties with attendance. Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to coordinate interventions and support plans for students with attendance concerns. Maintain accurate records of attendance and produce reports as required by senior leadership. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Benefits:.
