Here's a detailed job description:Job Overview:The Asbestos Associate Attorney will manage litigation caseloads, conduct depositions, prepare witnesses for trial, review discovery requests, prepare court filings, and provide trial preparation and support.Duties:Handle local and national accounts throughout the state of California.Independently manage a litigation caseload.Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.Review and analyze discovery requests.Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings.Prepare court filings and ensure service to counsel; proficiency with e-filing.Provide trial preparation and support.Maintain accurate time records.Requirements:2 years of experience in complex litigation, toxic tort, or environmental liability.Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.Admission to practice in the state of California.Experience with motion practice and depositions.Experience taking the lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.Capability for independent work.Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner.Superior research and writing skills.Ability to multitask.Capability to analyze complex matters.Education Certifications:Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.Admission to practice in the state of California.Skills:Proficiency in managing a litigation caseload independently.Strong research and writing skills.Experience with motion practice and depositions.Ability to multitask and work efficiently.Analytical skills to handle complex matters effectively.Benefits:The firm offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) This national litigation firm specializes in a wide range of practice areas.
