We are seeking an expert in modern front-end development with deep knowledge of topics such as mobile app dev, personalized experiences, and client security. Additionally, you are comfortable with a vast range of other technical topics, including backend development, DevOps, microservices, containers, and web development.Senior Distinguished Engineers are individual contributors who strive to be diverse in thought so we visualize the problem space. Additional Responsibilities: Technical Expertise:Serve as the top technical authority on customer experience development, offering guidance and solutions for complex technical challenges.Review and approve architectural decisions, code quality, and technical decisions related to Android development.Quality Assurance:Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality control measures to ensure the delivery of high quality client applications.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to developers.Stakeholder Communications:Communicate project status, risks, and technical insights to senior management and stakeholders.Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and teamwork. Basic Qualifications :Bachelor's DegreeAt least 9 years of software engineering or software development experienceAt least 5 years of experience with client application development, including web technologies (TypeScript) and mobile frameworks (iOS, Android)At least 2 years experience building and owning product workloads with GraphQLAt least 5 years of experience with cloud native technologies Preferred Qualifications :Masters' Degree10+ years of software engineering or software development experience8+ years of experience with client application development, including web technologies (TypeScript, GraphQL) and mobile frameworks (iOS, Android)3+ years experience building and owning product workloads with GraphQL at enterprise scale3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or other public cloud providersCapital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $321,500 - $366,900 for Sr Distinguished EngineerSan Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $340,500 - $388,700 for Sr Distinguished EngineerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
