Charlie's was founded in quality, and we are proud that it is still our focus.With a team of dedicated people who are passionate about food, supply chain, and their community we are looking for like minded individuals to help further our goal to enhance our communities through quality produce.--What we offer:An amazing company culture, and remarkable benefits!Medical/Dental/Vision on the first of the month following hire.ESOP (Profit Sharing) and 401(k).Paid vacations, paid holidays.Pre-tax commuter benefits, and onsite parking.Coverage under State Sick Leave.100% Paid College Tuition for employees and their dependents.Employee assistance program (EAP).ResponsibilitiesThe RoleWarehouse Manager works in concert with the Operations Manager and is responsible for the supervision of all warehouse activities, receiving, proper storage to maintain product quality, picking orders and loading of product for shipping.-- This incumbent is responsible for loss prevention as it pertains to warehouse equipment, property, and employee bodily injuries.-- This position encompasses the overall management of the day warehousing functions.----------Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited ToOversee Warehouse Operations including Receiving, Operations Support, Quality/Inventory Control, Sanitation, Ripening and support of Shipping.Manage employee performance, hiring and corrective counseling with support from OperationsMonitoring, evaluating and improving KPI's in order to achieve Operation's performance objectives.Monitor all activities during the day to ensure the smooth operation of the Warehouse teams.Ensure proper slot replenishment following the first in, first out procedure.--Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner.Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include receiving, forklift movement, inventory/quality control and sanitation.Responsible for warehouse overtime rates, communicating inventory status such as out of stock product(s) to pickers, receiving errors, picking errors, and warehouse slotting of products.Generates warehouse productivity reports (i.e. piece count report), in regard to receiving rates, and accounts for all labor hours, both direct and indirect. Adheres to labor distribution requirements and works toward attaining objectives and division goals.Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of OSHA local and state regulations.Responsible for conveying maintenance of warehouse equipment and all necessary repairs to the Maintenance Dept. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform the distribution functions.Recommends equipment requirements and replacement to the Operations Manager toupgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.Responsible for supporting all Food Safety Initiatives including managing the Safe Quality Food (SQF) System, PrimusGFS, and Organic Certification requirements.Responsible for support of Warehouse Safety Initiatives.Support and implement food safety, workplace safety and quality assurance initiativesSupport and implement the company's initiatives to promote positive employee morale and team building.QualificationsRequired Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in a related field; five (5) or more years' experience in material management type operations.Minimum of two (2) years in leadership role.Self-starter, strategic and independent thinker with excellent business acumen.Excellent time management and capable of meeting work schedule deadlines.Adaptability/Flexibility, with the ability to react quickly to changing requirements from internal and external conditions while maintaining good communication with all parties involved.Working knowledge of general workplace safety practices (OR-OSHA, OSHA).Strong planning and organizational skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage change and facilitate the implementation of new food safety programs.Strong and well-organized communicator, both written and verbal.Emotional intelligence with the ability to practice an adaptable approach when necessary.--Preferred Skills and ExperienceBilingual Spanish/English, a plusHear from Charlie's employeesSupplemental InformationThis employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.Charlie's Produce is an Equal Opportunity Employer
