Summary of Position: The Production Director is responsible for developing and leading all aspects of the operation and maintenance of production systems in alignment with the mission and vision of Mount Pleasant Christian Church. The Production Director will work directly with the Worship Pastor to produce an excellent weekend experience through the areas of audio, lighting, stage design and media. The Production Director manages all systems and projects from conception to completion, both directly and indirectly alongside the Assistant Production Director at MPCC and our IMPACT Campuses. 02. Duties: Lead the production and operation of weekend services in the main auditorium either at the FOH audio position or in a systems management role Develop and implement a comprehensive production strategy for MPCC and our IMPACT Campuses. Lead Assistant Production Director by casting vision, providing development support, feedback and collaborative opportunities in the creation of production elements including, but not limited to, stage design, lighting cues and visual media. Develop and manage the Production budget. Research and propose the purchasing of new equipment that advances the ministry and the church. Develop and manage volunteer and contractor relationships. Develop and oversee a system for workflow/management of production needs from all ministries, assigning duties to the Assistant Production Director and self, including but not limited to, MPCC Online recording, weekend services, equipment maintenance, ministry and IMPACT Campus AVL needs, and special services and events such as weddings and funerals. Troubleshoot and fix any issues that may arise during Sunday morning experiences or during the week. Work closely with the Video Director to coordinate production elements, when necessary. 03. Required Experience/Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Audio Engineering, Theatrical/Stage Production or related field. Five years previous related experience. Experience with setup and operation of analog and digital audio consoles and lighting systems. Possesses a working knowledge in current video, lighting and audio systems. Strong knowledge in ProTools, Flash Media Encoder, and Microsoft Office applications. Proficient in PC and Mac OS Systems. 05. Direct Reports: Assistant Production Director 06. Staff Expectations: Solid understanding of Scripture. Faithful in weekend worship. Involvement in ministry outside of specific ministry area. Practice Christian stewardship through the giving of regular tithes and offerings. Practice a lifestyle witness. Be willing to assist with and perform responsibilities outside of your ministry area as needed. Always display a willingness to help church members and guests when asked or in critical times. Personal acceptance and alignment with Mount Pleasant’s vision and mission.
