Where You Belong.Job SummaryThe Server is responsible for providing food and beverage service to Members and Guests while consistently displaying a positive attitude with knowledge about the food and beverage menu, while simultaneously working closely with other team members (both of the same and different departments) to ensure Member/Guest satisfaction and retention.Servers oversee the daily food and beverage service operations for assigned outlet; assuring all food and beverage operations are executed to meet or exceed Member expectations, while also ensuring the standards of service and safety guidelines are met. Westlake Country Club has five food and beverage outlets across the property including a full restaurant with fine dining standards in the main club house, a casual outdoor outlet connected to the pool, a small self-serve cafe in the sports club building, a halfway house serving food and beverage to golfers which serves in conjunction with the beverage cart, as well as the Men's Locker Room outlet which serves bar food and runs a full bar 6 days a week. Westlake Country Club is THE premier family-focused club in the heart of Austin, Texas. Westlake Country Club servers have a flexible schedule generally working 32 - 40 hours a week for full time and 20 - 30 hours per week for part time. The majority of the club operations are closed on Mondays, excluding tournaments and some special events. Most commonly, F&B operations close at 9pm with some exceptions, providing a balanced lifestyle for our team members. Events are prevalent in the club world, organized and hosted by the club itself for the members benefit. Servers are responsible for the premier execution of said events as well as working the regular outlet operations based upon scheduling. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, servers are encouraged to take initiative in providing ideas to make the work environment the best it can be, whether this be service standards, organization and/or ways to create magic moments for our members or ways to create magic moments for our own employees. Servers are required to take care of members through service standards, product knowledge, and attend regular trainings to ensure a premier level of service at all F&B touchpoints. Day-to-Day * Responsible for food and beverage service to Members and guests, adhering to the company standards of service. * Comprehensive knowledge of the a la carte menu, including daily features and specials * Strong knowledgeable in various liquors, common cocktails, beer and wine * Sell food and beverages to members based on their needs and wants * Run food and bus tables as needed * Greet guests quickly and effectively * Create "magic moments" for guests * Responsibly manage member payments * Support all members whenever they are encountered on property, for example, guiding members to the restroom, walking them to someone's office, etc. About You * 2 - 3 years previous food and beverage experience * Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certifications as required by state and city * Excellent communication skills and articulate speech * Ability to communicate and follow instructions * Comfortable working in both indoor and occasional outdoor environments * High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Have more questions?
