The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the firm with developing and financing various thermal and renewable energy projects, as well as providing legal counsel on energy and environmental law matters.Duties:Assist the team with developing and financing thermal and renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, waste-to-energy, natural gas, coal facilities, and natural gas pipelines.Provide legal counsel and representation in matters related to energy and environmental law.Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory issues impacting energy and environmental projects.Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Represent clients in administrative hearings and proceedings related to energy and environmental matters.Provide strategic guidance and advice to clients on navigating complex regulatory landscapes.Requirements:2-5 years of meaningful litigation experience, focusing on energy and environmental law, is considered a bonus.Possess exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.Adept in case management and ready to take the lead on legal matters.Admitted in Good Standing to the South Carolina State Bar.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the South Carolina State Bar.Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Proficiency in legal research and writing.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
