We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who can build and deliver timely, specific, and actionable insights to empower users in getting their work done efficiently and effectively. You will work with unstructured and semi-structured data from millions of jobs, documents, images and videos to extract these insights using leading edge NLP, OCR, Deep Learning, LLMs, and related AI models and tools. You will also build and fine-tune predictive models to solve challenging problems in generating targeted insights and work closely with our Data and Engineering teams to deploy scalable ML pipelines into production. The Ideal Candidate is: Customer first. You love the process of analyzing and creating powerful solutions to complex real-world problems faced by our customers. Technical. You have strong hands-on experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms. You understand the algorithms underlying DNNs, GANs, and GPTs. You’re comfortable with open-source languages and are passionate about growing your skills. Statistically-minded. You’ve built models from scratch, validated them, and back tested them. You know how to analyze performance and how to interpret a confusion matrix or a ROC curve. You have theoretical and practical experience with OCR, Computer Vision, NLP, Search, Recommendation, and Generative machine learning systems. Innovative. You continually research and evaluate emerging technologies. You stay current on published state-of-the-art methods, technologies, and applications and seek out opportunities to apply them. Data Adept. You have outstanding data skills to extract, connect, and analyze data from a variety of structured and unstructured sources. You know great data science begins with great understanding of the data. Qualifications: Master’s Degree plus 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science and Machine Learning. Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in either team based or individual projects. Comfortable leveraging modern tools for building predictive models from the ground up using ML pipelines at each stage, including data processing, training, inference, deployment, and evaluation. Proficiency with Python and Python-based frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow, PyTorch) including familiarity with coding standards, ability to write unit tests, manage environments for each project, and experience developing Python packages. Highly competent with Linux/ MacOS operating systems including file system, command line, and scripting. Strong understanding of commonly used machine learning and deep learning algorithms, processes, tools and platforms (e.g. HuggingFace) and experience with tuning and optimization for efficient implementation. Proven experience working with large structured and unstructured data sets; experience with NLP; experience with Computer Vision, preferably with OCR. Experience with foundational LLMs and using GPT or other Transformer models for NL search and information retrieval. Ability to enhance LLM output quality through prompt engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and fine tuning. Proven experience using embeddings, vector databases, and indexing to extract information and insights quickly from huge volumes of numeric and textual data. Experience working with DevOps/ MLOps for model release and deployment Strong experience working with AWS (in the console and with boto3), working with EC2 instances (writing Lambdas, Sagemaker model pipelines) and an ability to work with data from various sources (e.g., DynamoDB, S3) XOi Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer At XOi, we value individuality and the unique qualities we all bring to an organization.
