In 2014, Covenant planted a satellite campus in nearby river town, Washington, county seat of Beaufort County. Our campus averages about 115 in attendance, worship is led by a live worship team, and the Campus Pastor while the message is live-streamed from the Greenville Campus. The Campus Pastor will oversee the life and direction of Covenant’s second campus offering pastoral leadership as well as ensuring the church’s systems, practices, and strategic ministry plans are consistently executed with excellence.The Campus Pastor is dedicated to advancing the ministries of Covenant Church through facilitating weekend worship service(s), pastoral care, spiritual growth/discipleship, leadership and volunteer development, as well as outreach. The Campus Pastor is an extension of the Lead Pastor in its particular community. The Campus Pastor is responsible for supervising and managing campus staff and volunteer positions. The Campus Pastor reports directly to the Lead Pastor and is the primary manager over all other campus staff positions. What you’ll be doing: Lead and oversee the campus location as an “extension” of the Greenville campus by implementing the overall vision as well as the spiritual and cultural DNA of Covenant Church Maintaining alignment with the mission, vision, and core values of Covenant Church Develop healthy volunteer teams by recruiting and raising up leaders who will oversee the primary areas of ministry (i.e. children, students, small groups, connections, production, worship, etc.) Evaluate and upgrade everything at the campus, from equipment to volunteer systems to volunteer efforts Provide leadership to the campus staff team and lay leadership teams Provide pastoral care both personally and through systems of care (hospital visits, counseling, etc.) for those who attend your location Teach and lead in small, medium, and large group settings Preach an average of once per month as gifting and ability are demonstrated. Travel to Greenville campus regularly to participate in staff meetings and events Skills you’ll need to have: Passionate desire to help others find life and wholeness in Jesus Christ Ability to lead from the front as well as the “second chair” Excellent communication skills Ability to manage, inspire and coach people, including staff and volunteers Self-awareness and the ability to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and continue personal & professional growth Commitment to work collaboratively with central campus and local campus staff to accomplish ministry goals
