Mill Electrical Technician

Position Details: --- Location: Pueblo, CO --- Schedule: You will work a rotating 12-hr, 2-2-3 schedule (2-days on, 2-days off, 3-days on, 2-days off, 2-days on, 3-days off). This schedule allows for 7 days off every two weeks (including a 3-day weekend every other week) and built-in overtime. You will work two weeks on days then rotate to two weeks of nights (rotation day is on Monday after your long weekend off). --- Compensation: These are Union roles, so pay rates are set based on your experience and assessments. Base hourly rates are $30.35/hr - $35.71/hr + shift premium for night shift. o Bonuses/Additional Compensation: Overtime is paid at 1.5X after 40 hours. Pay increases every six months, with ability to assess into next Level every six months as well; there is also a profit-sharing plan (based on company performance) that pays out quarterly o Relocation assistance is available --- Benefits: Company offers a very low-priced, comprehensive benefits package including vision, medical, dental, life insurance coverage, 401K and a pension plan. You will be eligible to participate in Company's group benefit plans for hourly union employees, according to the terms of the plans. In addition to group benefits and pension plan, you are also eligible for the following benefits: Group Retirement Saving Plan and Tuition Reimbursement for work-related courses. Position Description: Mill Electrical Technician In this role you will provide all necessary electrical, electronic and combustion-instrumentation maintenance to all areas of the Mill in a safe and efficient manner. In order to be successful in this role, you should have experience with the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic and/or instrumentation equipment and systems. This position reports to the Superintendent of Maintenance. Some specific responsibilities include: --- Serve the function(s) of a Combustion-Instrumentation Technician, Electronic Repairman and/or Electrical Inspector (Maintenance Electrician) depending upon training and certification. --- Complete the RMSM training program to become skilled in all three of the crafts mentioned above. --- Troubleshoot, repair, dismantle, assemble and install a variety of equipment throughout the mill. --- Work with Electric Shop, Combustion Lab and Electronic Shop equipment and tools, mobile equipment of every kind, controls, switches, valves, ovens, furnaces, machinery, cranes, prints and drawings. --- Observe lockout procedures. --- Operate overhead cranes as needed. --- Work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, while exposed to elevated noise levels, vibrations, extreme cold and heat; conditions which require use of a respirator or dust mask; in close proximity to moving parts, electrical currents; working on scaffolding and high places; exposure to natural gas, high heat, hot surfaces, molten metal, chemicals, oils and lubricants.
