Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Position Description Position Title: Compliance Intern Department: Legal & Compliance Reports To: Senior Director of Compliance Position(s) Supervised: N/A FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary The Compliance Intern is responsible for supporting the Senior Director of Compliance to ensure WEDC's compliance with the policies, laws, and regulations that govern the organization. The Compliance Intern will work closely with the Senior Records Management Specialist and Quality Assurance Analyst on data and records management.___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Responsibilities The Compliance Intern will spend most of their time in these activities: Assist in compliance and data clean-up related projects. Assist in data quality reviews of contracted awards. Review paper and electronic records to ensure the WEDC's naming convention is followed and records are saved in the required location. Compile records and inventory according to WEDC and State of Wisconsin requirements. Ensure protected personally identifiable information is secure. Assist with the preparation of records for storage at the State Records Center. Support WEDC's mission through the fulfillment of other duties as assigned. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Education and Experience: Current enrollment in degree program Skills and Talents: General understanding of legal and governmental regulatory requirements and processes. Exceptional attention to detail. Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong research, and communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
