Summary of position: Night Shift Brewing is looking for energetic, personable individuals to join us as a bartender at our Owl's Nest Summer pop ups. The Bartender plays a major role in providing guests with a consistently positive experience at Night Shift Brewing. We are looking for someone who is outgoing and possesses good interpersonal and communication skills. This is a seasonal position which is scheduled to end in October. Anticipated start date is mid-to-late April. We’re always looking to add permanent staff to our team, and this is a great way to gain exposure for future positions! Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Teamwork: This position will work closely with other bartenders, servers, management and related restaurant teams. Flexibility: Please note that this role requires working in shifts and during evenings and/or weekends Quick thinking: The bartender will need to think and act quickly to problem solve while retaining composure and professionalism. Development: Willingness and ability to learn and adapt are key. Experience: Previous bartending experience is a plus. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required TIPS and/or Serve Safe certified Prior experience serving the public Prior experience in fast paced hospitality Skills: Effective communication skills Efficient decision making in occasionally stressful situations Awareness of signs indicating intoxication of guests and other concerning factors Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. Ability to make calculations and figure out change quickly. A good memory to recall regular guests, remember drink orders from large groups etc. Attributes: Punctuality, you are expected to be on time for your shift. Embrace change, we are a fast paced company, change is constant. Willingness for listening to ideas, questions, and feedback. An amiable personality and confident interacting with people. Should have a strong work ethic and a willingness to support other departments as occasion demands. Calm professional demeanor in all situations.
